Understanding Transparent LED Displays: Working
Note that these liquid crystal materials do not emit light themselves but use lamp tubes as standard light sources to function. You will also find a reflective film on the back of the crystal material, which helps with light emission. Additionally, the LED backplate consists of a fluorescent material, producing a uniform background light source. The source transmits energy to the lower polarizer in the beginning. This is done through the liquid crystal material. The arrangement of the liquid crystal changes because the upper and lower layer of the transparent LED screen forms FET electrodes. The crystal liquid that previously shared the light within the screen will remain the same until it is reenergized to change its arrangement.
